How Patency handles patient data.
Patency acts as a business associate to the practices it serves. A business associate agreement is in place with every practice and with every vendor that touches protected health information.
Each practice's patient data lives in that practice's own partition of Patency.ai. Reps see only the patients a practice authorizes, and the practice can revoke that access at any time. Regional and corporate views for device companies are de-identified: rates, stall points, and volumes, never names.
De-identified pathway data from practices running Patency.ai forms the network registry, which powers benchmarks. Identified data is never pooled across practices and never enters the registry.
Patient messages carry the minimum necessary information and link to secure pages. Data is stored in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest, with role-based access and audit logging.
Our full privacy policy and terms of service are being finalized. For a copy of our business associate agreement, ask your Patency contact.
